Spirit
Spirit wasn’t planned. One day, we were asked by the breeder if we would take in a dog they had received back. She comes from the well-known Breezybrook kennel in England and came to us at just over a year old. Spirit had been sold as a puppy to a hunter, who clearly did not treat her well. Like most kennel dogs, she was not house-trained, and despite her excellent potential, she was a nervous wreck, completely frantic and still easily overwhelmed in larger groups. It breaks your heart to see such a wonderful dog treated so poorly. We are proud that the breeder trusted us with a dog who had been through so much. Spirit now lives with our friend Insa, whose household is much calmer than ours. Since then, Spirit has blossomed, and her true character is emerging. She’s one of the most energetic and loving dogs we’ve ever met.
