Tofu
Tofu is a little rascal. She’s had her mother Merci behind her all her life, who has always been a lioness of a mother 🙂. Tofu was born here with significant underweight, but extremely fit and incredibly hungry. Throughout her puppyhood, she ate twice as much as her siblings. She waddled around like a barrel on four stilts, which gave her bow legs. While those corrected themselves as she grew, the strain during her youth had consequences for her health results. Combined with her exceptionally high need for movement (even for a WCS), this led to her being the only offspring of Merci who doesn’t have grade 0 patella or A/B hips. And this is over two tested generations.
In consultation with our veterinary clinic, we’ve decided to plan a litter with her despite these special circumstances, considering that all of her siblings were also tested and have without exception outstanding results. We are very proud that Tofu’s sister Maxxis, at just over 2 years old, participated in the AWC (Agility World Championship) 2024 in Belgium, along with two other Merci offspring.
